My Son
Jordan is 4yrs old. He was born in August of 03. The happiest day of my life. Justin and I were young but did everything right. Jordan was born 9pds 7ozs and seemed to be a normal healthy boy. It wasnt untill he was about 1 1/2 that we noticed he just wasn't reaching those mile-stones like other children. At 2 the doctors diagnosed him with mild cerebral palsy. Mostly his right leg turns in, and he walks on his toe. His speech is also delayed by about a year and a half now. But, things are coming along great, finally starting to see some great improvement. Someone once told me that having a child with a disability was like planning a trips to Jamica but landing in China, its not what you expected but it turns out to be just as great. Jordan is the most amazing little boy in the entire world. To have to strenth and courage to be strong the way he does is so inspiring. He never gives up and theres always a smile on his face, you cant help but think that if this little boy can be so happy and try so hard, then theres no reason in the world you cant. Jordan has touched my life and im sure many around him. Jordan is so loving and caring, you could be a complete stranger, even a homless man and he would still want to kiss and hug you. He treats everyone the same and loves everyone the same. He has taught me so much. Jordan is currently doing therapy at school and with us at home. We also take him to horseback therapy. He is quite the little cowboy! He loves animals and I can tell he will be riding horses for a long time. Were also starting him in gymnastics to hopfully correct his tight muscles in his right leg, and help with his balance. He loves to tumble and play (like his dad) so I cant wait!!!
